App Waiting To Update Mac

App Waiting To Update Mac

I think there's a download running in background which would explain this waiting time. I restarted a few times my Macbook pro, and ended up waiting until it ran the update successfuly. When you make an XCode update, you have to do it when you have free time ahead, not during rushes, you never know how much time it can take. I had Xcode and Xcode-beta installed, I deleted Xcode-beta before tapping on Update on the App Store; Xcode was waiting to install for over 10 min, restart of the Mac didn't help. Solution: Go to Launchpad and noticed a completely separate app (without an app icon) waiting to install.

The great thing about Mac software downloaded from the Mac App Store is that it's very easy to check for updates. If you have automatic updates turned on, most apps will update automatically while you're asleep (or, at least at night, whether you're asleep or not). If, however, you know of an update launching at a specific time and your Mac hasn't automatically updated it yet, you can manually push out the update yourself. Here's how.
